I’m building a remote control model that has 4 motors for motion that need to be comtrolled independently, forward reverse plus 2 for steering . plus 2 others for some rotatting parts and moving armns looking at whats available it seems like I will need at least 2 radio controlers for boats or planes or cars . that seems over complicated I wnt to know if there are any radio control transmitters that can be usb conected to a PC if there is I can design my own desktop control panel and program it using visual bsic. Net or visual c++ bu no one I know that is into RC modeling has ever heard of such a syystem. I was happy to learn… There's a number of PC/RC projects on the net but no commercial ones so it's going to be a DIY job. You can cut down on the number of channels by steering the vehicle the same way as a tank i. E. Power the right wheels to turn left and power the left wheels to turn right. You can get servo signal mixers which reduce the number of channels you need. The PC/RC projects I've seen vary in the way they're driven which is serial port, parallel port, USB and even infra red.

I am wondering what will happen if I use fuel from a petrol station? Like ordinary cars use. . . cheers. Basically… Well nitro engines are desingd for nitro methane fuel only so gas from a pump(gas station) wouldn't work, you'll ethier desroy the engine or it'll explode, they hold a couple shots of fuel for crying out loud, gezze,it's only $10 to 11 for a quart.

I have an iTrip but would like to control what song plays by skipping forward and back without having to fumble with the device. After looking around, I learned — Well what you can do if you are set on that type of control then you can get a special cable that you connect to your head unit and plug your iPod into. You can stop by car toys or another car audio shop and they'll know what you mean. I hope this helps.

Am wondering if there are any pieces directly related to the car running (i. E. Gas line/injection) etc that are controlled by the onboard micro controllers etc. Am doing research on the subject. Thanks in advance. Just a little side question. If the computer on a car that was actually driving on the road went bad, what would happen. I was so glad to find this — Yes, They help keep the car running more efficient, adjusting the mixture to the fuel, and keeping you informed of the engine condition. Today's' light enunciators actually do some work in cars. They will warn you of a possible engine problem such as low oil, high temperature, or mainly tell you to service the engine. When you take the car to a modern mechanic's shop they use computers to hook up the cars computer to theirs and diagnose the whole thing in a few seconds. The computer also provides you with calculated fuel economy, which has been available for a few years now. As part of the safety, it controls the anti-lock brakes, and airbag deployment, some cars can even sense proximity to objects and warn you of that, or even parallel park you. I hope this helps, if not check how stuff works at

NOthing much I believe , more rather it is the interference. if you have 2 toys with Same Mhz, both will respond to same/ any remote. so in a race , 2 kids can play with remotes with different frequencies. withut controlling others cars.

Okay, I have a 49 mhz remote control car with no controller, so I went out and bought a cheap remote control car that has a 49 mhz remote controller. How do I get the controller to work with the other car? You would think it would automatically work because they are on the same frequency. It doesn't. Also, the controller and the car are not from the same company, but it should not make a difference, should it. I was so glad to find this — Oooook. Short answer, is you can't. Long answer is; Each remote car, and remote car radio handset has a crystal in it. The crystal in the remote car, and the handset it came with are identical, producing the same frequency and running your car. However, the cheap remote car radio handset your purchased has a very slightly different crystal, it is still 49mhz, but it may be 49. 174 while the one you had before was 49. 566. Basically this means that you will not be able to get control of the car with a different handset. However, hobby grade cars have the crystals visibly on the outside of the radio handset. IF this is the case, you can remove the crystal from the handset, and switch it with another. Same with the car, IF ITS HOBBYGRADE you can take the top of, the crystal will be poking out of a small black box, the receiver. IF this is the case, you can swap the crystals around. However if what you've got is two toys cars, im sorry to say it, your stuffed. If you need more info, see #Toy-grade_radio_control
